2019 Message - Every Moment
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7
Dear brothers & sisters in Christ,
For many of you this past year represented a roller coaster of ups and downs. There were moments of laughter, happy surprises, heartbreak and yes, even tears. There were also everyday moments seemingly unremarkable, unimportant and indistinguishable from one to the next. You know what I mean; it’s those moments when you waved hello to a neighbor, drove to work, shopped at the grocery store, folded yet another load of laundry and worried about paying the bills. Nothing important, right? Here’s the thing…not a single one of those moments went unnoticed by your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He laughed with you in the moments of joy, celebrated at your delight, held you when you were broken, and he was even with you in those day to day moments that seemed unimportant. Those moments that seemed, well, just ordinary. The truth is that God can take the ordinary moments and turn them into something extraordinary. Philippians 4:6-7 tell us that we are to “in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Notice the word “EVERY.” Our God remains faithful, steadfast and true to us in the ups, the downs and the ordinary moments. Every moment. Nothing is too small, too simple, too ordinary to raise up in prayer. Look how this verse from Philippians comes with a promise as verse 7 states, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” We are promised the peace of God no matter what our circumstances. This is extraordinary!
Yours in Christ,
LET US PRAY …
Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for loving me and being with me each and every day. I surrender my will to you and ask that your will be done in my life in every moment of this day including the seemingly ordinary moments. Please take from me the burdens that weight heavy on my heart that make me anxious and grant me the peace of God. A-men
2018 The Year of Deliverance
This year we have seen tragedy, hate filled violence and natural disasters that wreaked havoc across the globe. When we are surrounded by so much suffering and darkness it is tempting for our hearts to be filled with despair and declare our world hopeless. Have you felt hopeless against the violent acts of evil? Have you felt hopeless against the global disasters of fires, floods, hurricanes and earthquakes? Have you felt hopeless against those that mock Jesus and attack Christian values as intolerant and old fashioned? Amongst all of the hopelessness, there is a light that breaks through the darkness. This light is the Lord Jesus Christ and he brings both hope and love to ALL people of the world. Through all of the suffering we do not walk alone in this world and He has not abandoned us to the darkness.
I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. – John 8:12
Jesus brings hope to people suffering from the violent acts of evil. Jesus brings hope to nations and people devastated by fires, floods, hurricanes and earthquakes. Jesus brings hope to Christians who feel under attack for their beliefs.
AS WE WELCOME A NEW YEAR
Let us remember that Jesus is here to deliver us from the captivity of darkness. A call to action for Christians is found in the lyrics of the song “O’ Lord” by Lauren Daigle. The words “I will stand my ground where hope can be found” are a strong reminder that our hope can be found in Jesus and in Him we stand firm. We are not alone, we are not lost in the darkness and we are not without hope.
LET US PRAY
"Lord Jesus Christ, deliver us from hopelessness and darkness and instead fill us with your light and love. You are the hope and the light of the world and in you we will stand our ground. A-men"
The Lord God Most High shall take control of His creation by using the power of His Blessed Holy Spirit under the command of the Blessed Lord Jesus Christ. The Blessed Lord Jesus Christ shall do all that needs to be accomplished according to the will of God the Father Almighty!
Never forget that the Lord Jesus Christ reigns over the heavenly and earthly realms. The evil ones bow down to the Lord Jesus Christ and recognize His authority!
Everyone prepare yourself for the chaos that is coming by drawing extremely close to the Lord Jesus Christ!
Wear the armor of God to protect yourself. See Ephesians 6:10-18.
Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the light of the world.
Energize your faith level with daily prayers and Bible verses.
God is the beginning and the end for all eternity!
Imitate the way the Lord Jesus Christ taught us by His example to live our lives.
Notice the needs of others and help them in any way that you can. Every little bit counts!
Never forget to ask for forgiveness of all the sins that we are aware of and also all the sins that we are unaware of on a daily basis.
It is important to know and practice the fruit of the Spirit. See Galatians 5:22-26.
No! It is never too late to begin a close personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
God judges everyone by what is in their hearts right up to the time just before you take your last breath of life in this world.
Sing joyful praise and make sure to praise in words and deeds God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit!!!
Now go in peace, knowing that God’s love has no limits!
In these difficult times, we tend to find ourselves immersed, oppressed and blinded by the darkness. In fact, we have been subjected to the darkness in this world for so long that we no longer recognize its potent affect on us. We are content to rationalize the evil in the world and convince ourselves that it is normal. We have become desensitized to the darkness as well. We are bombarded daily with reports and images of death, hunger, terrorism, hardship, sinfulness and perversion. So much so, that we have become accustomed to these dark things.
For it is in these darkest moments that we are called to trust in God’s will for our lives. When it is so dark that we can’t see where to take the next step, these are the moments when we must abandon our doubts and trust in God completely. Our faith will strengthen with each step that He guides us to take. Although the direction we take may differ greatly from our expectations, how blessed we will be if we walk the path that God has set before us. As we continue to deepen our faith and grow stronger in our spirituality we will realize the true blessing of joy and hope that the Lord God Almighty has bestowed upon us.
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. – Romans 5:1–5
Since sin first entered the world when Satan tempted Adam & Eve, we have lived amongst the darkness. Imagine if our human eyes were only capable of seeing shades of gray. No yellow sunlight, no blue sky…nothing but shades of gray. Would we ever realize what we were missing? Would the word “light” mean much to us? Now hear the good news that God is sharing with us!! We are not alone. We will not be conquered by the shades of gray, sin and darkness in this world. Let us rejoice and praise God, for we have been blessed with the light!!
Then Jesus spake again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. – John 8:12
Through Jesus we are no longer prisoners to the darkness of the world. He breaks through the murky depths with a light so brilliant that the darkness cannot overcome it nor even understand it.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. – John 1:1–5
Imagine a light so bright that the darkness has no power to overcome it, no power to swallow its brilliance! How amazing is our God! Let us go forth into this coming year, confident and comforted by the knowledge that the darkness will not rule. Jesus, who is the light of the world, shines upon us. Let us boldly reflect His light to others and share the wonderful news of the light and salvation available through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Love & Blessings,
Sheri & Cheryl
Let us know the true meaning of patience!
Let's explore the true meaning of patience. The dictionary definition of the word patience is the capacity of calm endurance. The Lord Jesus Christ is watching and examining each of us to determine our level of patience. Look in your Bibles at the book of Galatians chapter 5, verse 22:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness …
Each of us should be trying to improve ourselves in every fruit of the Spirit, but this year our focus will be on patience. Learning patience during trying and difficult times takes an intense level of perseverance. Our entire world is in a crisis and each of us will experience the effects in various forms; financially, loss of jobs, loss of the ability to keep your home and so many more elements will be affected.
During these difficult times is when we need the Lord Jesus Christ deeply involved in our personal lives. We must put our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ no matter what direction or circumstances that we find ourselves dealing with in the future. You will find the following explanation of patience quite enlightening:
Perseverance is to persist in or remain constant to a purpose, idea, or task in the face of obstacles.
Attitude that is willing to adapt to any changes that occur in our lives.
Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ’s control over our lives.
Increasing our spiritual growth to a higher level.
Endurance to overcome our circumstances.
Notice and aid others in need regardless of our own circumstances.
Calmness through all the chaos in our personal lives and the world.
Enjoy a very deep close personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ!
I hope that each of your lives will be enriched by the enduring love of our precious Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ!
Love & Blessings,
I Love You…
Do you hear what I am saying, my beloved child? I am speaking and reaching out to you. Yes…YOU. Still not sure who I am talking to?
You are my beloved child of whom I adore. I have blessed you, provided for you, watched over you and guided your steps. I have given to you the greatest gift that has ever been given. I have done this out of love. For what I have done is this…I gave my Son, who was and always will be faithful, over to the sinful world to be sacrificed in your place. He did so willingly out of His love for me and also His love for you.
I ask you this…has there ever been a greater gift given?
Do you hear what I am saying?
Do you now know that it is YOU I am speaking to?
Yes…YOU, my beloved child who now at this very moment is reading this.
For my son, Jesus, was the greatest gift ever given. I gave you this gift because….. I love you! I am your Father and you are my beloved child. Now go forth in peace and joy remembering with a joyful heart that…I love you.
A Call to Persevere
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promise, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins. Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.2 Peter 1:3-11
It is imperative for all Christians to make a conscience effort to increase their spiritual knowledge and growth on a daily basis. The time has come for us to make a definitive stand on expanding our faith.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. – Romans 8:28
Our world is not in accordance with the will of God. That is why everything is out of balance. In our personal efforts to make improvements upon God’s creation, we have relied upon our own fallible knowledge, which has caused a whirlwind of circumstances that are spinning out of control – wars, natural disasters, extreme climate changes, horrible diseases, and terrible poverty are just a few examples. In addition, we often fail to appreciate and meet the needs of others and are negligent in showing true love and compassion, not just to strangers, but to our own families.
God has given us a great power in order to make extraordinary changes in our world; yet so few of us recognize it. Many of us are quick to dismiss its effectiveness. I am speaking about the power of prayer! Prayer is only truly effective and powerful when it is turned over to God’s will, such that it will bring glory to God the Father and his kingdom. It is alright to petition God with all our needs, in fact, God encourages us to do so. However, we must turn our wills over to God’s will so that God can take complete control of our lives and give us what we truly need in the long-term of things. As humans, we always are thinking of our immediate needs and expect instantaneous results. Ultimately, we expect to receive all that we ask God for in a very timely fashion. However, God is eternal and his viewpoint far exceeds our own. God chooses to answer our prayers in a way that not only is in our long-term best interests, but in order to further his glorious kingdom.
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. – 2 Corinthians 12:10
God loves us and needs us to help further his glorious kingdom. The benefits we receive from God are not only here in the earthly world, but in the heavenly realm as well. And these eternal gifts far out weigh the benefits we receive in the earthly. Broaden your minds and your spirits and accept God’s call to you. Yes, God needs you! Each of us is called to serve God in various ways; every part of the body of Christ is of equal importance to God. Some are called to serve by showing God’s love by devoting their time and talents to help others. Others are called to serve as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers (see Ephesians 4:11-13). If God calls you to a higher calling, his expectations of you are greater. This requires a higher level of spirituality as the consequences of your actions will become much greater.
The Lord Jesus Christ is calling all Christians to grow in their faith through perseverance. What does it mean to persevere? Persevere means to persist in or remain constant to a purpose, idea, or task in the face of obstacles. Christians are soon to be facing many more obstacles in the coming years. So please strengthen your faith – do not fall short of God’s goal for you!
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:4-7
May God bless you with love, hope, peace, joy and an increasing measure of faith in this New Year!

Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him my Savior and my God." - Psalm 42:5

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. – Romans 12:12
But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. – 1 Thessalonians 5:8
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. – Romans 15:13
It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us. – 2 John 1:4
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. – 3rd John 1:4
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. – 1 Corinthians 13:6-7
And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love. – 1 Corinthians 13:13
During this year when the difficult times come, we know where to go to receive all that we need. Put your hope and trust in God alone. God will bless you with His peace, His joy, His hope, and most of all His unselfish, unrelenting, magnificent Power of Love. Walk now in the Love of God.
Peace and Blessings to you,
Jesus calls to all of his children. It does not matter where you come from or what you have done; Jesus is calling to you. You may feel unworthy of his love or ashamed by something you have done, but do not turn away! Jesus is calling you, desperately trying to reach you. Yes, he loves you.
Many times, Jesus has referred to himself as "The Good Shepherd", and his children are his sheep. We are all children of God. How lucky we are to have a God who loves us despite our unworthiness and sins, so much that he gave his life for us. There is no greater love! So listen for his call - do not turn away. You are precious to him. Only by accepting his love can you find true peace and joy. Jesus is knocking on your door - will you let him in?
Love and Blessings,
The following is a message of true Joy in the Lord:
There is no greater joy than to be loved unconditionally by the Lord. Only when we open our hearts and embrace His love, will we know true joy. Joy in the Lord is greater than simple happiness; it is a precious gift from the Lord. Being loved by the Lord and sharing His love with others brings us closer to Him. Rejoice and be filled with joy because Jesus loves you!
In our everyday life, we may experience events that bring us happiness: a new job, a loving relationship or a growing family. However, as we go though the routines of each day, these moments of happiness do not always quench our thirst or relieve our hunger. There is still something missing. Jesus is the water that relieves our thirst and He is the food that satisfies our hunger. Through Him we experience something grander than happiness. We are filled with joy, and he makes our joy complete. Ask; and He will hold you up. Only through Him will we know the meaning of joy. Thanks be to God for His great love.
